Answers To Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. To Play your Messages:
    1. Press 5 (L to Listen) to your message
    2. Press 5 (K to Keep) the message
    3. Press 3 (D to Delete) the message
    4. After Keeping or Deleting the message your next message automatically begins
    5. Press 6 (N for Next) to go next message - Automatically keeps the existing message
    6. To Replay the message you just heard - Press 4 (G to Go Back)
  2. To hear the Caller ID of my voicemail messages on the telephone – press the # (pound or number sign) key at the end of the message.
  3. To play messages saved on the old voice mail system - CALL 1-800-301-6373 press 2 and enter the last 4 digits of your mail box number followed by the start key. Voicemail messages on the old Real Estate Netowrk system will be available until November 30th.
  4. To change your greeting or voice signature(name) on your voicemail:
    1. Call your personal number from a phone
    2. While greeting plays enter a *
    3. Enter your password then *
    4. Listen to the Menu
    5. Press 6 – System Options
    6. Press 7 – Password, Outgoing Greeting/Message, Voice Signature (Name)
    7. Press 6 – Outgoing Message or Press 8 for Voice Signature (Name)
    8. It will play the current greeting
    9. Press 5 if you wish to keep the current greeting
    10. Press 7 to record a new greeting
    11. Press 5 to keep the new greeting
    12. Hang up
  5. Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Austin services are now on our new converged Unified Messaging platforms – you can message using the last 5 digits of any telephone number.
  6. The prompts for internal mailbox to mailbox messaging:
    • "Make" is now "Send" a message
    • "Answer" is now "Reply" to a message
    • "Give" is now "Transfer" a message
  7. To message between mailboxes you must use the last 5 digits of the persons telephone number – either OneNumber or Voicemail number.
  8. Retention for voice and fax messages in the telephone service is 6 months for up to 30 messages – 60 and 90 message storage capabilities and up to 1 year retention available.
  9. Current Real Estate OneNumber Customers with Real Estate Network voice mail (2 separate numbers) will find that both numbers will answer with full feature functionality. Real Estate Network members can message to either numbers last 5 digits.
  10. Voicemail messages on the old Real Estate Network system will be available for 60 days after the end of the transition period.
  11. No-Charge -Included Upgrade Features for existing customers:
    If you would like to add E-fax (faxes received are converted to pdf. and sent to your e-mail) or E-voice (voicemails are converted to .mp3 files and sent to your e-mail). Please contact customerservice@vri.com with the e-mail address you would like to use and your Voice Retrieval number. E-fax includes 250 pages (approx.) per month (125 minutes/30 seconds/page) – 1 cent per page over 250/month.
